Starting this blog has definitely changed my life in many ways. Sometimes it’s stressful, sometimes I have the “writer block”, but I love every bit of it. Thanks to my blog I am more focused of what I really want from life, I get constant support from the travelers community (I love you!) and I also enjoyed some beautiful trips I wouldn’t have done otherwise.
It’s been almost 2 years since I started and the best way to celebrate my second blog-versary has just popped up in my life: I’m joining a sponsored blog trip to the tiny island country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in the Caribbean Sea.
A few months ago I started a collaboration with Traveldudes, a website I’m sure everyone of you know very well. From a regular user, I was given the chance of becoming an editor and I accepted enthusiastically.
Being an editor is a huge opportunity for me to learn a lot about travel writing, and also a constant spring of inspiration for my travels.
What I didn’t imagine was that I was about to be given the chance of representing Traveldudes in some awesome blog trips. Long story short: Caribbean, here I come!
The blog trip: May 14th to 20th, 2012
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a tiny country in the Caribbean Sea, just between St Lucia and Martinique. Did you ever hear about it before? Because I didn’t. The same thing happened to me when a friend of mine asked me “why don’t we go to Honduras”? and I had to Google it. And then, what a surprise!
And I love surprises.
I am sure St Vincent and Grenadines will surprise me in many ways.
The itinerary includes several tours of the main islands, waterfalls, a volcano climb (first time for me! And I love volcanoes!), a gorgeous botanical garden with spices and colorful parrots, and then of course breathtaking sea and inviting beach hotels.

After 5 months of snow, this is just the perfect trip for me and I can’t wait to be there and start reporting.
Follow my trip on the @giuliaccia and @traveldudes Twitter accounts for live updates from St Vincent and the Grenadines!

The trip is organized and sponsored by VisitSVG, the SVG Tourism Board.

Thanks Jilly! I really feel like it’s a success for me as my happiness and excitement in these days are barely bearable. :)
I’m so glad for you, Giulia! I visited St Vincent and the Grenadines a few years ago by sailing boat and I’m sure you’ll love them. I still remember the amazing colors of the Caribbean waters.
I’ll stay tuned to read more about your trip.
This will be my first time in the area – I’ve been to Roatan before but this is the REAL Caribbean – and I am so happy to explore this place!
Thanks dear and I’ll be back with some cool pirate-style pics :)
You’re going to love it. If you get the chance, go to Bequia. I think it’s one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.
Hi Alex and thanks for the tip! I had a look at the itinerary and yay! we are going to spend a full day in Bequia. I am very much looking forward to that!
If you wish, you can have a look at the full itinerary and travel diary here: SVG on Traveldudes

I have never been to these islands and i guess it is one of the most great places where people would want to experience its ambiance..
It seems that I am also guilty of being unaware about Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. However, it seems to be a nice place.
They said that there are 32 gorgeous Caribbean islands can be found.
Congratulations, Giulia! Can’t wait to read about your trip! Have a safe one.:)
Thank you Pauline and good to see you around! :)
